This material is mainly used for welding applications in electronic circuit boards and various high voltage or high power applications. Composed of 60% bismuth and 40% cadmium, the bar has a shape of approximately. 1/4 'x 1/4 "x 14" long.

Bismuth cadmium is one of the many metal alloys sold by ATT. Bismuth cadmium is available as rods, ingots, strips, threads, guns, sheets and foils. Ultra-high purity and high purity forms also include metal powders, submicron powders and nanoscale, thin film deposition targets and evaporated particles. Bismuth cadmium is usually available immediately in most volumes. ATT produces a number of standard grades where applicable, including the Mil Spec(military grade); ACS, reagents and technical grades; Food, agriculture and pharmaceutical grades; Optical grades, USP and EP/BP(European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia), and follow applicable ASTM test standards. Typical and custom packaging is available. Major applications include bearing assemblies, ballasts, casting, step welding and radiation shielding.

Applications of Bismuth Cadmium Alloy

It is mainly used in the optical industry for lens blocking when grinding glass, plastic lenses and optical components. It's low melting point allows it not to distort the glass or plastic which it supports. Also can be used for proof casting as well

Standard Packing:

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
