Product Code : AL-BiC-CU-CU
Bismuth carbide comes in a variety of forms and custom shapes, including ingots, foils, rods, plates, and sputtering targets. High purity forms also include carbide powders, submicron powders and nanoscale, single crystal or polycrystalline forms. Carbides are compounds in which anions are one or more carbon atoms. Most metals can form carbides, but not all: indium and gallium, for example, cannot. Like pure carbon diamonds, carbide compounds tend to be very hard, refractory, resistant to wear, corrosion, and high temperatures, making them an excellent choice for coating drills and other tools. They often have other valuable properties such as electrical conductivity, low thermal expansion, and wear resistance. Metal carbide materials are marketed under the trade name AE Carbide. Bismuth carbide is usually immediately available in most volumes. ATT produces a number of standard grades where applicable, including the Mil Spec(military grade); ACS, reagents and technical grades; Food, agriculture and pharmaceutical grades; Optical grades, USP and EP/BP(European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia), and follow applicable ASTM test standards. Typical and custom packaging is available. Additional technical, research and safety (MSDS) information and reference calculators for converting relevant units of measurement are available.
ATT is a professional supplier of scandium oxide (Sc2O3) sputtering targets, and we also manufacture discs, balls, ingots, balls, sheets, powders, rods, wires, sputtering targets, and many other forms and custom shapes. Other shapes are available upon request.

Applications of Bismuth Carbide
bismuth is often used as an alloying agent in the production of other metals, such as tin, lead, and steel. It is also used as a coating for other metals to improve their corrosion resistance.
Packing of Bismuth Carbide
Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
ATTs’Bismuth Carbide is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
