The boiling point of lead-bismuth alloy is obviously higher, and it has excellent radiation shielding effect. They do not react easily with air or water. These alloys do not show age-hardening and heat-treatment sensitivity in a limited solution range.

Applications of Bismuth Lead Alloy

It has been often used as a direct replacement for lead in a variety of ballistics including bullets and hunting ammunitions. As an alloy, bismuth is commonly used in fire suppression systems, in aviation as part of the casting process, and to manufacture precision machining parts.

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
