Product Code : ME-B-5N-SA
Boron chips are a by-product of milling and grinding metal operations. Shavings are produced by shaving or cutting metal and then collected for recycling. ATT specializes in the production of high purity boron shavers with the smallest possible average grain size for the preparation of pressing and bonding sputtering targets, as well as chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes including thermal and electron beam (E-Beam) evaporation, low temperature organic evaporation, atomic layer deposition (ALD), chemical deposition (PVD), and chemical deposition. Metal-organic and chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). Boron chips are elongated bands. Shavings are also useful in any application that requires a high surface area, such as water treatment, fuel cells, and solar energy applications. Nanoparticles can also produce very high surface areas. Our standard shavings have average particle sizes of -325 mesh, -100 mesh, 10-50 micron and sub-micron (< 1 micron). We can also provide many nanoscale materials. ATT produces a number of standard grades where applicable, including the Mil Spec(military grade); ACS, reagents and technical grades; Food, agriculture and pharmaceutical grades; Optical grades, USP and EP/BP(European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia), and follow applicable ASTM test standards. Typical and custom packaging is available. Other shapes are available upon request. Nanocrystalline structures have been found in metal shavings with high strength and wear resistance.
ATT is a professional supplier of boron shavings, and we also manufacture boards, balls, ingots, balls, flakes, powders, rods, threads, sputtering targets, and many other forms and custom shapes. Other shapes are available upon request.

Applications of Boron Shavings
Amorphous boron is used as a rocket fuel igniter and in pyrotechnic flares. It gives the flares a distinctive green colour. The most important compounds of boron are boric (or boracic) acid, borax (sodium borate) and boric oxide. These can be found in eye drops, mild antiseptics, washing powders and tile glazes.
Packing of Boron Shavings
Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
ATTs’Boron Shavings is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
