Corundum Tube

Product Code : CE-αAl2O3-NN-TP

Corundum is a gemstone formed from the crystals of alumina (Al2O3). The corundum mixed with metallic chromium is bright red and is generally called ruby; while the blue or colorless corundum is generally classified as sapphire. Corundum ranks 9th in the Mohs hardness table. The specific gravity is 4.00 and it has a hexagonal column lattice structure. With the hardness of corundum and its relatively lower price than diamond, it has become a good material for sandpaper and grinding tools. Corundum has glass luster, hardness 9. The proportion is 3.95-4.10.

It is formed under the conditions of high temperature, rich aluminum and poor silicon C, and is mainly related to magmatism, contact metamorphism and regional metamorphism. Corundum is a man-made material made from bauxite as the main raw material in a mining furnace. It can be used as abrasive and refractory material. The white one with higher purity is called white corundum, and the brown one with a small amount of impurities is called brown corundum Corundum, the name originated from India, is a mineralogical name. There are three main variants of the homogeneity of corundum Al2O3, namely α-Al2O3, β-Al2O3, and γ-Al2O3. The hardness of corundum is second only to diamond. Corundum is mainly used for high-grade abrasive materials, ceramic bearing materials for watches and precision ceramic machinery. Ruby-based artificial crystal as laser emitting material. Rubies and sapphires are both corundum minerals. Except for the starlight effect, only translucent-transparent and brightly colored corundum can be used as gemstones. The red color is called ruby, while the other colors of corundum are collectively called sapphire in business.Corundum (Corundum) originated from India, is a mineralogical name, gemologically qualified for gemstones are called ruby (Ruby), sapphire (Sapphire). Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia are the most important suppliers of high-quality rubies and sapphires in the world. Other producing countries include China, Australia, the United States, and Tanzania.

Applications of Corundum Tube

Corundum tube is used as a cast steel sliding nozzle, smelting rare metals, special alloys, high purity metals, glass, painting, making crucible and vessel glass laser; A variety of high temperature furnaces, such as refractory materials, ceramics, blast furnace linings (walls and pipes); Physical and chemical containers, spark plugs, anti-oxidation coatings. Low silica sintered corundum brick lining of less than 0.5% is dedicated to carbon black, boron chemicals, fertilizers, synthetic ammonia gasifiers and reactors

Packing of Corundum Tube

Standard Packing:

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.

ATTs’ Corundum Tube is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
