Chromic Oxide (Cr2O3) is a dark green-black colored solid that is an important evaporation material for many optical and electronic applications. It is one of the most stable oxides, making it an ideal choice for a variety of deposits. Chromic Oxide can be used to deposit thin layers of this highly reflecting material for hardened coating applications, such as dielectric and antireflection coatings. It can also be used to deposit thin layers of highly durable abrasion resistance coatings and is commonly used as a hard, stable coating in consumer electronics and other items.
