Silver sulfide is a chemical compound that commonly used as an evaporation material in thin film deposition processes as well as for sputter coating. It is used for applications such as dielectric layers and optical coatings. It is also used for anti-reflective coating for optical components. It has a low vapor pressure, which makes it suitable for thin film deposition and it can be easily vaporized at higher temperatures. It has excellent adherence to metals and is resistant to corrosion.
