Product Code : CE-LaB6-6N-DI
Lanthanum Hexaboride Disc (LaB6, also called lanthanum boride and LaB6) is an inorganic chemical. With a melting point of 2528 K, LaB6 is a refractory ceramic material, which is insoluble in water or hydrochloric acid and very stable in a vacuum. Stoichiometric samples are colored intense purple-violet, while boron-rich ones (above LaB6.07) are blue. Ion bombardment changes its color from purple to emerald green. LaB6 is a superconductor with a relatively low transition temperature of 0.45 K. Lanthanum Hexaboride (LaB6) disc can be used widely in various fields beaded on its properties. We provide LaB6 disc per drawing.

LaB6 disc has excellent performance such as high conductivity, good stability, and slower evaporation rate. It usually is used as the cathode material which is widely used in many fields of modern technology, such as plasma generators, rf ion sources, mass spectrometers, electronic micromirrors, and some electronics.
Packing of Lanthanum Boride
Standard Packing:
Sealed bags in carton boxes. Special package is available on request.
As a ceramic material, LaB6 is quite fragile in a lot of cases. The LaB6 ring are usually held in plastic bags by vacuum, and protected with heavy foam.
ATTs’ LaB6 disc is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
