The molybdenum disc comprises a pure molybdenum disc and a coated molybdenum disc. Molybdenum plated plates are PVD or evaporated with ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), nickel (Ni), silver (Ag), gold (Au), etc. Molybdenum sheet is widely used as contact material for thyristor rectifier diodes, transistors and thyristors. Molybdenum has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) similar to silicon and has moderate thermal conductivity, making it suitable for use in large-area power devices that generate large amounts of heat. Molybdenum sputtering targets are also available.
