Made from 99.5% pure nickel, the crucible has a high resistance to strong alkalis and phosphoric acid. Our nickel crucibles have thicker bases and lighter walls that help them endure harsh use. Nickel crucible is less than satisfactory when used for acid and sulphur compound solvent.

Applications of Standard Nickel Crucible (Ni Crucible)

High resistance to dilute alkalis at low cost. Used for sodium peroxide fusions in the analysis of zirconium. Also used in analyses for niobium, tantalum, or low levels of phosphorus.

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
