Niobium and columbium are synonymous names for the chemical element with atomic number 41; columbium was the name given in 1801, and niobium (Nb) was the name officially designated by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry in 1950.

Niobium flange standards include ASA/ANSI/ASME (USA), PN/DIN (European), BS10 (British/Australian), and JIS/KS (Japanese/Korean). Flange temperature and pressure tolerances are dependent on the rating. ATT specializes in producing high purity uniform shaped Niobium Flanges. ATT offers custom flanges with annealed or hard tempers and will meet most of the common Milspec or ASTM standards. Niobium flanges are circular with external ridges and varying threaded holes. Applications of Niobium Flange

Niobium is dominantly used as an addition to Stainless steel and other high strength alloys. They are used for applications like construction specifications, car and truck bodies, ship hulls, oil and gas pipelines and railroad tracks.

Packing of Niobium Flange

Standard Packing:

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
