crystalline and glassy calcium metaphosphate are divided into crystalline and glassy in nature. The crystalline is white, and the glassy is colorless. The crystalline is insoluble in water or citric acid. The glassy can slowly dissolve and hydrolyze in water.
Crystals basically have no fertilizer effect; vitreous calcium metaphosphate is a good citric acid soluble phosphate fertilizer with high phosphorus content and less dosage than calcium superphosphate. It is best applied in acidic ground, and the fertilizer effect can be used as base fertilizer for a long time.
The preparation method is prepared by burning phosphorus into phosphorus pentoxide in the air, and then interacting with phosphate rock powder in the presence of high temperature and steam.

Applications of  Calcium Metaphosphate

It contains high phosphorus and the dosage is less than ordinary calcium. It is best applied in acidic soil, and it can be used as a base fertilizer with a long-lasting fertilizer effect. In addition, calcium metaphosphate can also be used as an analytical reagent.
