Product Code :
Potassium metaphosphate is the salt of metaphosphoric acid. It is a readily available source of phosphorus and potassium to plants, and comprises 60% phosphorus and 40% potassium (K2O). When pure, it contains almost 100% plant food. Potassium metaphosphate, K6(PO3)6?H2O, is made by reacting phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) with potassium chloride (KCl) at a high temperature. It is slightly soluble in water and makes phosphate available after hydrolysis. Although slightly soluble in water, it is readily soluble in ammonium citrate solution.
Potassium metaphosphate is generally immediately available in most volumes. High purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered. ATT produces to many standard grades when applicable, including Mil Spec (military grade); ACS, Reagent and Technical Grade; Food, Agricultural and Pharmaceutical Grade; Optical Grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia) and follows applicable ASTM testing standards. Typical and custom packaging is available

When pure, it contains almost 100% plant food. Potassium metaphosphate, K6(PO3)6?H2O, is made by reacting phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) with potassium chloride (KCl) at a high temperature. Dihydrogen phosphate is suitable for low melting point low TG glass, phosphate optical glass, phosphosilicate optical glass, sealing glass powder of special optical glass, analytical reagents, adhesives, refractory materials, etc. Aluminum dihydrogen phosphate can be used as raw material for sealing glass powder with low melting point, and as raw material for high-aluminum glass-ceramics used in laser gyroscopes. Liquid aluminum dihydrogen phosphate is used in the field of metal surface treatment as anti-rust treatment phosphating solution. High-purity potassium dihydrogen phosphate is used to manufacture KDP and KTP crystal raw materials, and is used in medicine as a culture agent in the production process of antibiotics. High-purity ammonium dihydrogen phosphate is used to manufacture ADP and RTP crystal raw materials. Sodium dihydrogen phosphate is used in biopharmaceuticals for low-phosphate rickets to supplement human blood phosphorus content. In PC/PBT modified plastics, it is used as a lipid exchange agent (inhibitor). Barium dihydrogen phosphate is used in barium-based metal phosphating solutions in the field of metal surface treatment. Titanium pyrophosphate can make the melting process more stable in phosphate glass, and can improve the melting performance of the glass. It can reduce high-temperature viscosity, increase low-temperature viscosity, and has a fluxing effect and is non-volatile. Boron phosphate is used in phosphosilicate optical glasses, as thermally stable pigments, ceramic materials, and decondensation electrolytes for fuel cells.
Packing of Potassium metaphosphate
Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
ATTs’ Potassium metaphosphate is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
