Product Code : RE-Pr-5N-SP
Praseodymium is a soft, silver-white paramagnetic metal, which belongs to the lanthanides and rare earth metals. It is somewhat more corrosion-resistant in air than europium, lanthanum or cerium, but easily forms a green oxide layer that flakes off in air. It is encountered with other rare-earth metals in nature, and is the fourth most abundant lanthanide. Its content in the earth’s crust is 9.1 g/t.
Praseodymium Metal is available as disc, granules, ingot, pellets, pieces, powder , rod, sputtering target, wire, and in numerous other forms and custom shapes. Ultra high purity and high purity forms also include metal powder, submicron powder and nanoscale, quantum dots, targets for thin film deposition, pellets for evaporation and single crystal or polycrystalline forms. Elements can also be introduced into alloys or other systems as fluorides, oxides or chlorides or as solutions.

Praseodymium (Pr) Metal Application
In combination with neodymium, praseodymium is predominantly used in neodymium magnets used in a growing arena of high-tech applications.
Praseodymium and neodymium oxides are used in welder and glass blower goggles to protect the eyes from yellow flare and UV light.
Vibrant yellow ceramic tiles and dinnerware, popular in the Mediterranean region, are the result of combining praseodymium and zirconium oxides.
Praseodymium oxide is a catalyst to make the most widely used plastic, polyethylene, for soda bottles, bubble wrap, food plastic wrap, sandwich bags and milk cartons.
Packing of Praseodymium (Pr) Sheet
Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
ATTs’Praseodymium (Pr) Sheet is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
