Product Information
Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) is a kind of advanced ceramic, can be produced with 99.999% purity in high density. Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) Filament Ring and other pyrolytic boron nitride products are synthesized on the mold by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process, with BCl3 and NH3 at high temperature and low pressure. NH3 +BX3=BN+3HX , PBN products are extremely pure, as the purity of gas material is easier to be controlled. Typically, PBN products have a total impurity of <100 ppm, which means the purity is no less than 99.99%. With such a high purity level, PBN rings are ideal products for semiconductor industries & vacuum systems. With its high density and purity, PBN is becoming a widely used material in vacuum processes. The CVD process gives this pyrolytic boron nitride an almost perfect layered structure, which leads to anisotropic thermal conductivity, making it an ideal material to make components for furnace & vacuum systems. Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) is frequently used to make filament rings to hold Ta wire in MBE equipment, due to its high working temperature and vacuum property.
