Product Code : RE-W-5N-CO
Of all metals in pure form, tungsten has the highest melting point (3422°C / 6192°F), the lowest vapor pressure at temperatures above 1650°C (3000°F) and has the highest tensile strength. Tungsten also has the lowest coefficient of thermal expansion of any pure metal. This combination of properties makes tungsten the ideal material for evaporation sources. During evaporation, it can alloy with some materials such as Al or Au. In this case, another evaporation source material should be used such as alumina coated boats or baskets. Other materials useful for evaporation sources are molybdenum and tantalum.
Tungsten coils are formed wires wound around a core to create a wrapped helix pattern and are used as components in many electrical devices. Coils are wrapped wire structures of varying thickness and lengths. Please contact us to fabricate custom coil alloys and gauge sizes. We also produce Tungsten as powder, ingot, pieces, pellets, disc, granules and in compound forms, such as oxide. Other shapes are available by request.

Packaging of Tungsten Coil
Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
ATTs’ Tungsten Coil is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
