Tungsten powder is the metal tungsten in powder form. It is the raw material for the preparation of tungsten processing materials, tungsten alloys, hard alloys and other tungsten products. Tungsten powder is generally prepared by hydrogen reduction of tungsten trioxide or ammonium paratungstate. For the tungsten powder with high purity and ultrafine particle size required for special application, the hydrogen reduction method of tungsten chloride was developed, and the particle size of tungsten powder obtained could be less than 0.05μm. The purity includes commercially pure, 3N (99.9%), 3N5 (99.95%), 4N (99.99%), 4N5 (99.995%), and 5N(99.999%).

Applications of Tungsten Powder
Tungsten powder is mainly used in the production of weight fillers, radiation shielding fillers, induction accelerators, etc. The thin film surface of its polymer mixture makes it suitable for radiation protection. It is also an ideal heavy metal filler for injection-molding applications due to its large particle size. Tungsten powder is suitable for applications in the metal spray industry.

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
