Magnesium Yttrium Master Alloy Ribbon Application
Mg-Y series alloys: Rare earth element Y is one of the elements with the best strengthening effect, the most widely used, and the most in-depth research in magnesium alloys. Y has a high solid solubility in magnesium solid solution, the equilibrium solid solubility is 3.75% (atomic fraction)/12.47% (mass fraction) (566℃), and its solid solubility decreases exponentially with the decrease of temperature. Small, which means that the Mg-Y alloy is a typical magnesium alloy that can be precipitation strengthened by complete heat treatment.
