Product Code : ME-Zn-5N-BR
Zinc nanorods are elongated particles ranging from 10 to 120 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the range of 30-70 m2/g. Nano-zinc is also available in passivation, ultra-high purity, high purity, coating and dispersion forms. They are also available as dispersants through the ATT nanofluid production group. Nanofluids are often defined as nanorods suspended in solution using surfactant or surface charge technology. Technical guidance on nanofluid dispersion and coating selection is also available. Other nanostructures include nanoparticles, nanowhiskers, nanohorns, nanopyramids, and other nanocomposites. Surface functionalization of nanorods allows the use of chemically bound polymers to preferentially adsorb particles at surface interfaces. Research on the development of nano-electronic and photonics materials such as MEMS and NEMS, bio-nanomaterials such as biomarkers, biodiagnostics and biosensors, and related nanomaterials for polymers, textiles, fuel cell layers, composites and solar materials is ongoing. The chemical composition was analyzed by ICP, the particle size distribution was analyzed by laser diffraction, and the specific surface area (SSA) was analyzed by BET multi-point correlation technique. New nanotechnology applications also include quantum dots. Applications of zinc nanorods typically involve their magnetic properties, including catalysts and magnetic recording, and as a contrast enhancer for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in medical sensors and biomedicine. Zinc particles are being tested as site-specific drug delivery agents for cancer treatment, as well as applications in coatings, plastics, nanowires, nanofibers, and textiles, as well as certain alloys and catalysts. Further research into its potential electrical, dielectric, magnetic, optical, imaging, catalytic, biomedical and bioscientific properties is currently underway. Zinc nanoparticles are usually immediately available in most volumes. More technical, research and Safety (MSDS) information is available.
ATT is a specialized supplier of zinc nanorods, and we also manufacture plates, balls, ingots, balls, flakes, powders, rods, wires, sputtering targets, and many other forms and custom shapes. Other shapes are available upon request.

Applications of Zinc Nanorods
Amorphous boron is used as a rocket fuel igniter and in pyrotechnic flares. It gives the flares a distinctive green colour. The most important compounds of boron are boric (or boracic) acid, borax (sodium borate) and boric oxide. These can be found in eye drops, mild antiseptics, washing powders and tile glazes.
Packing of Zinc Nanorods
Standard Packing:
Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L)s quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
ATTs’Zinc Nanorods is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
